We want you to enjoy your gear and feel confident shopping with Shogun. If something isn’t quite right, we’ll do our best to help. Below is everything you need to know about returns, exchanges and warranties at Shogun.

1. Incorrect, Damaged or Faulty Items

If your order arrives and something isn’t correct: wrong item, missing item, transit damage or a suspected fault, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will endeavour to assist you further once we've received your enquiry.

Please do not return any items until instructed and approved.

2. How We Assess Faulty Items

Every claim is reviewed to determine whether the issue is:

  • A manufacturing defect, or
  • The result of normal use, wear, storage conditions or misuse

If the item is confirmed faulty, we will provide further return instructions.
Once an item is then received and inspected, we will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

If the claim is not approved, the item may be returned to you at your cost.
All products supplied by Shogun are covered under Australian Consumer Law.

3. Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for online & in-store orders.

All online return requests must be submitted via your Shopify account. Simply log in to your account, locate the relevant order, and submit a return request. Our team will then review your request and provide further instructions.

Returned items must be:

  • In their original packaging
  • Unused, unwashed and odour-free
  • Free from marks, including makeup, deodorant, sweat or other stains
  • In a condition suitable for resale

Customers are responsible for any return shipping costs unless the item is deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law or we have made an error with your order. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot be responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

Approved returns can be processed as either a refund to the original payment method or store credit, minus any shipping charges.

4. Items We Cannot Accept for Return (Hygiene & Safety)

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law:

  • Mouthguards
  • Groin guards
  • Undergarments, including sports bras and compression wear
  • Clearance items
  • Any item showing signs of use, sweat, odour, deodorant marks or other wear
  • Any training equipment that has been used, including gloves, pads, shin guards, headgear, MMA gloves and similar items

5. Exchanges

Exchanges are accepted in-store, provided the item meets the return criteria above.

We do not offer direct exchanges for online orders at this time.

If you ordered online and require a different size, colour or product, we recommend placing a new order for the correct item as soon as possible to secure stock availability. You can then submit a return request for the original item via your Shopify account.

This helps ensure faster processing and allows you to receive the correct item sooner.

6. Warranty

Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover damage caused by use, environmental exposure or improper care.

Examples not considered warranty faults include:

  • Sweat or odour-based deterioration
  • Cracked leather from moisture exposure
  • Creasing or padding softening from regular training
  • Fading from sunlight or washing
  • Scratches, abrasions or friction burns
  • Torn seams or stretched elastic from force
  • Damage from incorrect use (e.g., non-bag gloves used on heavy bags)
  • Items stored wet or left in enclosed bags

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Submit your enquiry via our Contact Form
  2. Provide a detailed description of the issue
  3. We may request photos or further information
  4. If approved, we will arrange repair, replacement or refund

Do not send items back without written confirmation.
